Ari Gunawan
Born in a Balinese village renowned for its fine silverwork, I was raised by silver artisan parents who taught me strength and independence. By selling my own creations, I was able to pay for my schooling and rarely needed financial help from my family. Childhood in the village was joyful—I especially loved fishing, a hobby I still enjoy today. My passion for silver grew at 16, influenced by my grandfather, a master craftsman, and later, my parents-in-law. I met my wife while learning the craft, and now we design pieces together. Becoming a father changed my life and made me more selfless. My children inspire me to plan for a better future. I’m grateful to work in Bali.
