This is a beautiful, heavy walnut cutting board. It is super solid and looks great in my kitchen. The directions say to wash in soapy water before conditioning with mineral oil. The cutting board comes with a handful of mineral oil wipes. After cleaning, the cutting board did feel a bit rough. I always sand my cutting boards before treating with mineral oil and once sanded, this board absorbed mineral oil like a dream. The quality is definitely there.

First, I admit to being a big Hexclad fan. After getting a Hexclad set of cookware for our household, we have since gifted sets to both of our adult kids. I was therefore pleased to have a chance to review this Hexclad cutting board. As I have come to expect from this brand, the board is both beautiful and highly utilitarian.
The board is heavy, thanks to its being made of solid walnut. The walnut is an elegant, rich hue, quite a bit darker than the oak board we have been using. It looks striking on our kitchen countertop.
The board is also gift-worthy, wrapped in plastic and a branded half-sleeve. It comes with a few individual packets of mineral oil wipes, a nice little extra.
This item is pricy as cutting boards go at $89.00. But if you are looking for a cutting board that is sleek and classy as well as utilitarian, it's worth the extra bucks.

It looked good upon opening the package, but after applying the mineral oil as instructed, the wood really popped! It comes with 3 packages of mineral oil pads (2 pads per package). One pad was easily enough to completely oil the board. I like that you can use either side of the board. We have 3 Hexclad skillets and we love them, so this was a nice addition to the set. This is a good mid-size board for everyday kitchen tasks. It's an expensive board, but is high quality and I think with proper care, it will last a very long time.

The is a very high-end cutting board, it is of very good quality and value for the money. It comes with 3 packs of mineral oil cloths and instructions for care. One side has a groove around it to catch the juices from the meat or whatever you are cutting. It has self-healing grain when exposed to oils to help extend its lifespan and performance. This is a beautiful walnut cutting board that would also make a great serving board. The quality and workmanship of this board should last for many years with the right care. I am very happy with this product, and I highly recommend it.
